ESLP 2023

Messina, Italy

29-30 September 2023

The conference series on Embodied and Situated Language Processing has provided since 2007 a forum for interdisciplinary discussions on linguistic processing in embodied and situated settings. This year’s hybrid conference will follow along these lines by offering an informal and stimulating environment to boost research discussions between established and early career researchers.

Conference Programme

The conference will feature five keynotes, and a large number of talks and posters, across two days (see programme at a glance). You can download the conference booklet here.

Open Science Badges and Conference Prizes

ESLP 2023 will certify open science badges for talks/posters. We thus give each presenting author the option to provide us with a public statement affirming achievement of badge criteria (open data, open materials, pre-registration). Regardless of open science badges, we plan to share all ESLP materials (slides, posters) open access in a public repository.

All poster and talks will enter a competition for two conference prizes offered by our sponsor Gorilla. The prizes consist of two Researcher Basic Licenses. During the conference, all participants will evaluate posters and talks based on scientific value (e.g., originality, rigor, potential impact), design (e.g., graphical presentation), and oral presentation style, on a 1-5 scale. The winners will be announced before the end of the conference, in case of equal scores the academically younger candidate will be given preference regardless of age.
